Mindful Parntership-Mindful Divorce

Frequently Asked Questions

I'm married, but I'm not happy. Will this work for me?
Mindful Partnership/ Mindful Divorce classes and counseling are designed to help you transform your life and to support you in creating loving and caring relationships and experiences. I have had many people who were in unhappy relationships and found that they were able to revitalize and re-connect to their partners in a powerful way using this work. People have used this work to heal broken or injured relationships of all kinds, including relationships with parents, grandparents, children, friends, and business partners.

Do you have to have problems with your partner to do this work?
No, you do not. Mindful Partnership/ Mindful Divorce classes and counseling will assist you in transforming your life as well as healing wounded relationships with one self or others. This work will support anyone who wants to create authentic relationships and a life that they love.

Can I take this class with my partner?
It is recommended that you take this class separately. Although, if both partners take different classes, at the same time, the results can be powerful. It is important that each person feel free to share the totality of his/her experience without fear of triggering their partner’s issues.

Do you recommend private one-on-one counseling for couples or the class?
You can proceed either way. The class will offer a foundation for working with relationships in your life. Once you have learned the spiritual principles, applying them can sometimes be challenging especially when we are triggered. One-on-one counseling can be a very supportive vehicle for honing your awareness practice and deepening your understanding and connection to each other.

If I were to do Mindful Partnership/Mindful Divorce counseling, how much time will I be expected to dedicate to the program outside of the counseling session itself?
You will get out of this work what you're willing to put into it. To get the most out of your experience, you should plan on spending an additional 1-2 hours per week for homework, meditation, journaling and/or action steps between sessions. Some weeks you may want to put more time towards your homework, other weeks it may not require that much.

I've been divorced for 12 years, and I feel I'm over that relationship. But I still haven't found my soulmate. Is it too late for me to do this work?
Absolutely not! It is never too late to learn the wisdom of past failed relationships and use them as a catalyst for creating satisfying and lasting new and current relationships. If you find yourself repeating unhealthy patterns or making disempowering choices in your relationships, this work can help you break out of your habits. This work will also assist you with recognizing why people come into our lives and how to capture the lesson or teaching of your past relationships.

How much will this cost?
The cost of one-on-one counseling ranges from between $375-500 US per month (with four 45-60 minute sessions each month).

To participate in a class the cost is $290 for a seven week session. Check “2007 Classes” to see if there is a tele-class or local class for you to join. Level II classes are 12 weeks and cost $480.

How does one-on-one counseling work?
Individual counseling involves a weekly 45-60 minute phone call (or if local, in person) in a structured 12 to 24 -week program. You will use a work-book as you are lead through weekly teachings, powerful exercises, and action steps. Between each session, you will also have some homework and action steps to complete.
