About Dr. Illana Berger
Illana Berger, Ph.D., is a teacher in the field of spiritual practices and personal transformation. A pioneering force in incorporating the study and integration of the world’s spiritual practices as a vehicle for conscious evolution. Illana’s work is based on the core belief that outer healing can only occur when we experience an internal shift and develop the awareness to perceive our thoughts and actions.
Illana is the founder of Mindful Divorce and Living The Sacred. She earned a Ph.D. in transformative education with an emphasis in traditional knowledge and recovery of the indigenous mind from California Institute for Integral Studies in 2000.
Illana served as a Board Director for Journey to the Heart and coordinated the 2005 Gathering of Healers, Shamans and Wisdom Keepers of indigenous cultures from around the world. She was the Global Program Director for the Bali Institute for Global Renewal and Gathering Coordinator for “Awakening Global Action: Leadership, Indigenous Wisdom and Dialogue for a Transforming World,” that took place in Ubud, Bali in August, 2007.
Having co-taught with Indigenous Healer Mandaza Kandemwa from Zimbabwe, Traditional Drum Maker Dennis Miranda, and Jewish Shamanic Healer Rabbi Gershon Winkler, Illana is recognized for her sincere heart, loving wisdom, gentle insight, and profound commitment to inspire people to reach for their highest potential. Illana offers lectures, workshops, classes and spiritual counseling throughout the west coast, inspiring people to remember the totality of who they are – spiritual beings expressing the vast potential of the universe.
